It was no mistake: Lady Gaga's much-hyped single "Born This Way" premiered Friday morning, nearly two weeks after the Grammy nominee self-leaked the lyrics on Twitter.

"I'm beautiful in my way 'cause God makes no mistakes," she sings on the track. "I'm on the right track, baby/I was born this way."

And later: "Don't hide yourself in regret/Just love yourself and you're set."

The club-ready anthem, complete with a few a cappella chants and Italian lyrics, shows off Gaga's powerhouse vocal chords – and knack for powerful songwriting.

The song's debut comes five months after she teased her Little Monsters at the MTV Video Music Awards with a sampling of the chorus. The album of the same name is set to hit stores May 23, and Gaga, 24, promised fans it would be the "greatest album of this decade."
